Springwood Soaring Association
Springwood Soaring flies most every Sunday, weather permitting. The club flies a Schweizer 2-33 and an IS-28B Lark. We welcome interested people and offer introductory rides to prospective club members for $50 if there are available aircraft. Our club's focus is recreational soaring and instruction.

Located about 50 miles west of Dulles International Airport and about 70 miles west of downtown Washington, DC, we are situated conveniently to residents and visitors to the nation's capital.
Blue Ridge Soaring Society
The Blue Ridge Soaring Society is a club operation located near New Castle, Virginiain scenic Craig County
The mountain ridges running through the area provide great ridge flights for long cross country flights. When weather conditions permit, wave flights are also possible. The BRSS has a high altitude waiver window, allowing for flights up to 23,000 feet.
Shenandoah Valley Soaring
Shenandoah Valley Soaring is a glider club that operates at the Eagle's Nest Airport just west of the Shenandoah Valley town of Waynesboro, VA. The club has over 50 members, and its equipment includes a 235hp Piper Pawnee tow plane, (2) Schweizer 2-33s, a Schweizer 1-26D and an ASK-21. SVS operates on flyable weekends, all year round, and on weekdays through special arrangement.
Tidewater Soaring Society
Tidewater Soaring Society is a member owned and operated organization devoted to the enjoyment and challenge of the sport of soaring. The club operates from Garner Gliderport in Orbit, VA weekends year round. Garner Gliderport is owned by the Tidewater Soaring Foundation. Launches are by aero-tow only.
