Dear
Fellow Aviator, Please
help us to maintain MERLIN Aerodrome as a safe place for every kind of
aviation by obeying a few simple rules. |
Glider
Operations
Watch out for gliders on the field and in its vicinity. Gliders usually hang out
below clouds, circling the thermals to gain altitude.
The gliders landing patterns are usually inside the pattern of powered
airplanes.
Do not fly close to towing planes. The gliders usually turn right after
disconnecting, while the tow plane turns left. Be aware that a tow plane drags
200ft of rope behind it.
Noise
abatement
Help us to keep the good relationship to our neighbors. Avoid low flights over
the nearby houses. Throttle back as soon as safe and practical.
